Sassy Sunday: Crafty Corner

- Think wishfully -


How to make a jar full of your wishes:


Supplies:
jar with a clamp lid
glitter stars (2 small bags)
crazy glue
notecards
stationary embellishments
favorite quotes
permanent markers 

Steps:
Grab your pretty permanent markers and notecards. 
    You can also substitute notecards with computer paper,
    construction paper, or card stock. 

Write down your favorite quotes, wishes, or daydreams.

Cut the paper with craft scissors to add a design.

Take the crazy glue and swirl around the brush inside the jar.

Open the glitter star packs and drop them in the container.

Close the lid and shake the stars. The stars should stick to the side 
    of the jar.

Place cards inside the jar. Refer to them daily. 

Use as a decoration or a friendly gift.

Better than organic
This weekend I had the opportunity to be surrounded by the little people I love. I played with guinea pigs, ate endless amounts of ice cream, and learned that the most delightful toy can be a balloon. 

I was able to experience the world through the eyes of a nine and a six year old. A simple, yet magical world where cutting computer paper can make a transformer, fish can fly, and sugar followed by more sugar makes for the best day ever.

It was a joy to see that happiness is free, how dreams thrive on such playful energy, and life is measured in giggles. 

If you have the pleasure to experience life from pure and youthful eyes, embrace their magic shows, the way they brighten up a room, and continue to leave a smile on your face.

Cherish all of the people in your life.

Officially eight months in the year...times waits for no one. The color run event that I have been training for is just around the corner. 

Quite amazing how a little sweat can help clear your mind. Help you discover what really matters, and provide some ease for life's transitions.

One of my goals for this race is to enjoy being outside with people who care about giving back to their communities. I have already put in the work, now it's time to just enjoy the world around me. 

Some insight on my preparation:

1. Weight training: 1hr 30 mins. 3-4 days a week
2. Cardio: bike, elliptical, treadmill 30min-45mins 3-4 days a week
3. Stretch after every workout
4. Post-workout protein shake
5. Track 2-3 miles 2-3times a week



Everyday is an opportunity to be better than we were yesterday. May we have more days like these and tender thoughts to guide our dreams.
